3.27.1Hāc audītā pugnā maxima pars Aquītāniae sēsē Crassō dēdidit obsidēsque ultrō mīsit;

When they heard of this battle, most of Aquitania surrendered to Crassus and sent hostages of their own accord;

3.27.1quō in numerō fuērunt Tarbellī, Bigerriōnēs, Ptianiī, Vocātēs, Tarusātēs, Elusātēs, Gātēs, Auscī, Garumnī, Sibusātēs, Cocosātēs: paucae ultimae nātiōnēs annī tempore cōnfīsae, quod hiems suberat, id facere neglēxērunt.

among them were the Tarbelli, Bigerriones, Ptianii, Vocates, Tarusates, Elusates, Gates, Ausci, Garumni, Sibusates and Cocosates; a few of the most distant peoples, trusting in the season of the year because winter was near, failed to do so.

Note. annī tempore cōnfīsae: 'relying on the season of the year'.
